The 56th Filmfare awards ceremony was held at the Yash Raj Films Studios, in Mumbai on Saturday, January 29, 2011.
The event was hosted by bollywoods young heartthrobs Ranbir Kapoor and Imran Khan with some of the biggest names from Bollywood appearing all under one roof.
Shahrukh Khan’s My Name Is Khan and Salman Khan’s Dabangg were the two films which got a lot of attention. Singer Sonu Nigam began the awards ceremony by performing ‘My Heart Will Go On’ from the movie Titanic live on stage.
The Best Film category was won by Salman Khan’s latest Blockbuster Dabangg. Arbaaz Khan and his wife Malaika collected the award.
