Contrary to expectations, there will be no handsome payout on either side.
Elizabeth Hurley is to get a ‘quickie’ divorce that will allow her to keep her £13 million fortune, according to British media reports.
The model-turned-actress-turned-designer announced last week that she had separated from Arun Nayar, her husband of three years, about six months ago.
Hurley, 45, said they had separated for “private reasons” and it has now emerged that she told Nayar’s family the marriage was over as early as October.
The couple, who did not sign a pre-nuptial agreement, are already said to have drawn up a divorce settlement.
According to reports India, software entrepreneur Nayar is determined to keep his pride intact by not benefitting substantially from the divorce.
“It will be an amicable settlement with no party giving out large portions of money to anybody. Liz doesn’t want Arun’s money and neither is Arun interested in her wealth,” a family member is said to have told Indian reporters at their townhouse in Mumbai.
Explaining Hurley's visit with her eight-year-old son Damian two months ago, a family friend added: “Liz came to Mumbai with Damian and stayed at a hotel. She then came and saw Arun’s parents and announced that she intends to separate from Arun. It was a brief meeting that barely lasted for half an hour.”
Hurley was photographed kissing former Australian cricketer Shane Warne, 41, recently.
